JACKIE VERBITSKI

Jackie Verbitski is an author and illustrator from New Jersey.

Raised in a semi-rural town in Pennsylvania, she draws inspiration from her free-range frolics in the woods behind her childhood home and her stint selling tomatoes by the side of the road. Now residing again in the Garden State, when not writing or making art she enjoys getting dirt under her fingernails and spending too much money at the garden center.

A lifelong book lover, she hopes to bring the same sense of comfort and discovery that she found in books as a child to the next generation of readers. She likes quietly beautiful stories, big feelings, light humor, cute creatures, and the propagation of joy.
